The Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre banned on Monday (6) its NICU to new patients until Friday, after two babies were infected by the bacterium Acinetobacter.
According to the infectious disease and coordinator of the Hospital Infection Control of Hospital, Rodrigo Pires dos Santos, the measure was taken for the unit, which has 20 beds, is disinfected.
