-Sanitary napkins for rural girls at Re.1 per pack now in India to improve menstrual hygene : Sanitary napkins will now be provided to young girls in rural areas at Re.1 per pack to promote menstrual hygiene in the country, the union health ministry said Wednesday.
The ministry approved a Rs.150 crore scheme in this regard under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
